COVID-19 Cases in UAE Reach 405, Recoveries Now at 55

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) announced 72 new confirmed cases in the UAE and the total number of infected persons with COVID-19 has risen to 405. This was announced by post from the official Twitter account of MOHAP on 27th March 2020.

Additionally, 3 patients have now fully recovered which brings the total recovery cases to 55. So far, total number of deaths is 2.

72 New Cases – MOHAP mentions that the nationalities of the newly reported cases include: MoHAP added the new cases belonged to various nationalities – one each from Sri Lanka, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Iran, Comoros, China, Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan, Bosnia, Serbia, Greece, Uruguay, Romania, Sweden, South Africa, Iraq and Yemen, two each from Nepal, and Ethiopia, four from the UAE, five each from Britain, Pakistan and Lebanon, eight from Bangladesh, and 23 cases from India.

3 New Recoveries – On the other hand, the new recoveries involve two Bangladeshis and a Pakistani.

Everyone is asked to stay home and avoid going out unless for absolute necessity (buying food/medicine or for going to work).

In this regard as well, MOHAP advises everyone to follow basic protocols of proper hygiene to avoid and prevent the disease.

Continue to wash your hands frequently, cover your mouth and nose with a flex elbow or use a tissue when coughing/sneezing (discarding the issue immediately). Maintain social distancing, and to report to the Ministry of you develop any of the symptoms.
