COVID-19 Cases in UAE Reach 1799 as 294 Cases and 19 Recoveries Announced

The latest numbers as of April 5, 2020 mention 294 confirmed cases in the UAE. This makes the total number of infections in the country to 1799. This was shared in a post from the official Twitter account of the Dubai Health Authority and the Ministry of Health and Prevention.

Aside from the new cases, authorities also reported 19 recoveries which makes the total number of recoveries in UAE to 144. Total number of deaths is still at 10.

The newly reported cases were caused by not adhering to the preventive measures, not following social distancing protocols, and a also came from travels abroad.

The Ministry of Health and Community Protection announced today that it has monitored 294 new cases of newborn corona “Covid 19”, which was identified by examining those who had previously announced injuries, bringing the number of diagnosed cases to 1799.

The new cases are due to different nationalities, all of which are stable and are subject to the necessary health care. The ministry also indicated that the increase in the number of injuries is due to the lack of commitment of the preventive and precautionary measures, physical separation and quarantine procedures, in addition to cases related to travel abroad.

The ministry also announced the recovery of 19 new cases of people infected with the emerging coronavirus “Covid-19” and a complete recovery from symptoms of the disease after receiving the necessary health care since entering hospital, bringing the total number of cures to 144.
