No FINES on Expired Residency Visas Until End of the Year

The UAE recently held a remote cabinet meeting of the Council of Ministers headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

In the said meeting a series of decisions were made in light of the current situation.
One of the major decisions include the exemption of UAE residency visa fines until the end of the year.

This means that all persons who have overstayed in the UAE in the result of the virus will have Fines waived.

This is good news for everyone as renewing of residency visas is a challenging situation given that residents are advised to stay home and avoid all social contact. Please wait for updates on the procedure on how this will be implemented as no further announcements were made.

The National Sterilization Program has been extended for another 2 weeks and has been implemented to go for 24 hours a day.

The UAE cabinet also discussed about mental health laws and examined how the country and its industrial sector can help in combatting against the disease.
