A special time for OFWs for being appreciated by the government of the UAE especially during times of calamity and need. The UAE government is helping victims of the Taal Volcano eruption in the Philippines through relief efforts spearheaded by the Emirates Red Crescent foundation.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, applauds the work done by Emirates Red Crescent and Filipino volunteers who have worked together in packing relief assistance for the Taal victims.

A few days ago, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi shared that the UAE was ready to provide all support and assistance to the Taal victims and recently it has come to fruition when the UAE immediately acted on the announcement.

This time, the Dubai Ruler has posted a Tweet on his official Twitter account about the said relief operations in UAE. The Tweet reads:

Indeed the swift action by the UAE government is a testament to how much they value the contributions of Filipinos in the country. That’s why a lot of Filipinos are proud and happy with the support that they received because it shows that the UAE cares for its expats.
