To the Filipinos in the UAE, the Philippine government has issued an advisory (Public Advisory No. 01-2020) about recent developments and informed those who may be affected that the country of the Philippines is ready to facilitate repatriation.
The UAE has already confirmed that all sectors are operating as normal so Filipinos should not panic. Instead, kabayans are advised to stay alert and be vigilant, exercise caution, and maintain situational awareness at all times.
This is a good initiative of the PH government as instructed with the approval of their President Rodrigo Duterte. This shows concerns for Filipinos working in the Middle East and being proactive about the situation.
In the same advisory, they have also listed the important emergency contact information of the Philippine Embassy in UAE located in Abu Dhabi, and the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and Northern Emirates.
